The NexION 1100 is a single analyzer ICP-MS featuring a triple quadrupole design and a single gas pathway, incorporating a unique combination of proprietary technologies:

The proprietary triple quadrupole design provides three stages of mass resolution:

       The Quadrupole Ion Deflector (Q0) uses varying voltages to guide ions to the Universal Cell (Q1), maximizing target ion sensitivity while reducing unwanted masses.

       The Quadrupole Universal Cell (Q1) comes standard with one cell gas channel, with an option to upgrade to three channels, and features instant gas mixing capabilities for both collision and reaction modes.

       The Transmission Analyzer Quadrupole (Q2, full-sized, mass resolution < 0.7 amu) can function as a mass filter or ion guide, directing ions to the detector.

The single gas pathway offers a universal solution for most applications: collision mode uses only helium, while collision and reaction modes use a helium-hydrogen mixture, allowing easy switching between modes without changing gases. The single gas pathway can also accommodate pure reaction gases and can be upgraded to two or three channels for enhanced interference removal capabilities.

Proprietary Extended Dynamic Range (EDR) expands the linear dynamic range to 10 ¹⁴, enabling the simultaneous analysis of high and low concentration analytes in a single run, reducing the need for reruns.

The robust All Matrix Solution (AMS) enables online gas dilution, improving efficiency and preventing contamination. It offers up to 200-fold dilution and supports samples with total dissolved solids up to 35%.

The new Free-Running RF generator, equipped with the proprietary LumiCoil RF load coil, is designed specifically for ICP-MS applications, providing precise impedance matching to handle the most challenging matrices and solvents with ease. This revolutionary combination delivers superior plasma power and stability, resulting in unmatched performance, robustness, and reliability.

Low maintenance and extended uptime:

The combination of the triple cone interface and quadrupole ion deflector ensures continuous operation and enhanced stability with no maintenance required beyond the cones.

The 34 MHz free-running RF generator provides a trouble-free user experience—the plasma is generated by the unique LumiCoil RF load coil, which requires no water or gas cooling, eliminating maintenance and the need for plasma load coil replacement.

The innovative LCD touchscreen enables you to perform critical daily tasks, including hardware control, result review, instrument parameter diagnostics, analysis, access to embedded training videos, and more.

External status LED lighting allows for easy monitoring of analysis status, optimizing laboratory efficiency.
